ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS and PARENTS!! Just got the following letter from TOM BARRY, our Southfork District Chairman. In discussions with the district key 4 members, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we have came to the conclusion that we would like to have the south fork OA continue to meet with the Yellowstone OA chapter. It will bolster the number of boys in that chapter and with the current OA knowledge and leadership that Yellowstone has it will help all the chapters in the north end of the council. We will evaluate this decision on a yearly basis and make changes as needed. The evaluation will be based on the wishes of Yellowstone OA first and foremost as they are the lead in this program, and then also on the size and involvement of the south fork program. We have cleared this with the powers that be in Yellowstone district and they are willing to help our fledgling endeavor. This will be a combined chapter to enable the three northern districts to pool the available youth and leaders in Yellowstone, Centennial, and South Fork districts with the current Yellowstone leadership leading the way and in charge. This should also increase the diversity of all three district OA chapters by involving more than individual leaders, youth, troops, etc... Trent Packer has stepped down as OA advisor for the district, any needs for the South Fork OA chapter need to be addressed to myself and Kevin Olson who is the vice chair over programs, if neither of us are available and it is an emergency Mike Hunter is our district commissioner. We hope this helps the overall Grand Teton Council OA program and especially the northern districts. Tom Barry southforkchair@live Southfork District Chairman. ===== Parents. If you have questions or concerns about this new policy I suggest you contact Tom Barry directly. I am simply not in a position to offer you any insight into this at all as I was not a party to this decision or discussion.
