Screwtape is a senior devil, and he is training up a junior devil in how to win a converted Christian back to the Father Below. We get to listen in to the sessions, and so gain some insight into the reality of spiritual warfare waged by the powers of darkness against our souls. Deadly serious but sprinkled with Lewiss exquisite humour. Just now I listened to episodes 1, 2, and 3 (quarter of an hour each) that first went out Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Last two episodes will be Thursday, Friday. Very listenable dramatised reading. Screwtape himself (or his actual counterpart) would prefer you to not listen at all, especially if you are a genuine Christian. But if he cannot prevent you from listening, then he would have you do so with one of the self destructive attitudes outlined in the Screwtape Letters themselves. And to know what those attitudes might be, youll have to listen to the show (or read the book!)
