ATTENTION SPORTS/MOTORSPORTS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE POSSIBLE TO WIN $2,000 FOR BMT SEASON FINALE AT 141 SPEEDWAY CREEK CLASSIC OCT. 4 & 5 (Francis Creek, WI) October 2 – Dozens of regional modified drivers have a crack at walking out with a $2,000 top prize when the Custom Windows Plus Badger Mod Tour presented by Gandrud Chevrolet wraps up its season during the fourth annual Creek Classic at 141 Speedway October 4 & 5. The 30 lap BMT feature will pay $1,500 to win and will dole out an additional $500 bonus to any driver who wins their first ever BMT event at the high-banked, third-mile clay oval. To date, just five different drivers have won BMT events since 2012. Current points leader Mitch McGrath of Neosho has six Tour wins under his belt, including the last one at Seymour August 4. Green Bay’s Benji LaCrosse has captured three Tour victories. Middleton’s Tim Lemirande has a pair of Tour victories with Seymour’s Brian Mullen and Oconto Falls Lance Arneson each with one win apiece. Two full days of racing are on tap during northeast Wisconsin’s season ending racing party. On Friday night a full BMT program will take place, along with heat races for the Iron Horse Sales & Service Badger Stock Tour presented by Kick Ass Drive Train & Iron Horse Sales & Service. In addition heats will be run in the Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals, Tisler Salvage street stocks, Hansel Trucking northern sportmods, and sport fours. On Saturday night last chance qualifiers and features will be run in all of the divisions, plus another additional full IMCA style modified program. “We’ve got the party tents up and we’re all set to go,” said track promoter Bruce Conard. “It’s Wednesday and we’ve already got over a dozen campers who’ve rolled in.” There is a practice session on Thursday night open to any and all cars from 4 p.m. til dark. The cost for that will be $20 and that includes the car, driver and the pit crew. Free camping is available with the regionally popular bands Annex performing on Friday night and RPM entertaining fans on Saturday night under the party tent. The pits open at 2 p.m. Friday and the main gate opens at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. On Saturday the pits open at 10 a.m., the main grandstand at 1 p.m. and racing gets underway at 3 p.m. The raindate if needed will be Sunday.
