ATTENTION: YOU ARE MIDWAY THROUGH REFUGEE WEEK 2014. To celebrate, come and see the film #GirlRising, as part of a global campaign to support education for girls with me. This may be the one and only time I go to the cinemas this year. The film will be followed by talks from guest speakers Khatiaza, a Burmese Rohingya refugee arriving in Australia in 2008 and Luz Restrepo of SisterWorks, an organisation supporting female asylum seekers.
