ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 THESSALONIANS 5:18 Man has been so corrupted to the point that man has resulted to live happily when situations are favorable and live sorrowfully when situations are unfavorable. But this is not the plan of God for man, for in every circumstances man is expected to give thanks. Thanksgiving is an attitude. If it is attitude, it is mental and it is control by knowledge. No one genuinely give thanks without having the precise knowledge of what produces thanksgiving. As Christians, we are to give thanks in every situation, for it is God that is working in us both to will and to do for His own pleasure. One of the challenge of today’s Christians is that they do their best possible to avoid challenges which is meant for their growth. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Every trial is a test of your faith to prove your standing in the Lord. Understanding this provoke thanksgiving in you, knowing that after the trial there is a comfort and angelic ministration from the Lord even as Jesus was ministered to after His temptation. After receiving the Spirit of Christ at new birth, all we are left with is thanksgiving to the Lord, for it is the answer to all humanity problems. In Him hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, whoever is born by the Spirit is an over comer, more than conqueror and a light to the world. We are not guaranteed a trouble free life but in the midst of trouble we are sure of safety and peace because we are born over comers. Know this, In Christ; you cannot fail for all things work together for good. For it is God who is working everything according to the counsel of His will. Therefore, brethren in the midst of circumstances possess the attitude of thanksgiving, for it is the will of God for you and He takes delight in it. It is your sure guarantee to perfection in the Lord. Remember, the Israelites complained during their wilderness journey and they were destroyed by the destroyer (the devil) but for you after doing the will of God there is need of patience to receive the promise. Let us do all things without complaining but holding fast the word of life in thanksgiving that we may be blameless until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. DECLARATION: In Christ I cannot fail, every challenge is my stepping stone to perfection in the Lord, they are all working for my good in Jesus Name. I am coming out from every circumstance full of strength and vigor in the Lord. For the Lord is my Shepherd.
