ATTN MINNESOTA GOLD STAR FAMILIES and supporters of the Honor and Remember flag: PLEASE SHARE THIS! A hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 before a House subcommittee at the Minnesota State Office Building in St. Paul to determine if this subcommittee will vote to endorse the Honor and Remember flag in the State of Minnesota. This is the 3rd and final subcommittee vote that is required. As you may have heard, the two previous votes in Senate subcommittees were unanimously “for” adoption of the flag. Several Gold Star parents spoke at the two Senate hearings on the importance of the flag as a symbol of our fallen heroes, which was very impactful. We would love to see as many Gold Star families as possible at the hearing. Please bring your flags. If you feel comfortable speaking, it would be welcome. PLEASE ALLOW plenty of time to find parking as it is minimal around the State Capitol. Metered street parking is an option, however prepare to bring a pocketful of quarters as one will only get you 9 minutes with a max of 2 hours. Date: Tuesday, April 1, 2014 Time: 2:00 P.M.
