@ATUNWA_1 CHARGES KWARANS ON VOTERS REGISTRATION The People of Kwara State have been urged to participate actively in the forthcoming continuous voters registration exercise and Issuance of permanent voters card by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enable them elect leaders of their choice in the next years general elections. The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly Barr. Razak Atunwa made the call in Afon headquarters of Asa Local Government Area while distributing food items and cash gifts running into several millions of naira as Ramadan gifts to members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Local Government Area. Barr. Atunwa who described voters card as the only weapon to elect. Leaders of their choice enjoined them to register and obtain permanent voters cards to enable them exercise their civic responsibility. He said the APC led government in the state had improved the wellbeing of the people of the state through numerous people - oriented Projects,programmes and policies and assured that the State Government would continue to consolidate on its achievements. Barr. Atunwa explained that they distributed the food items and cash gifts to further enhance the wellbeing of his people during the Holy month of Ramadan and enjoined the people of the area to continue to support APC and Senator Bukola Saraki in the bid to further make democracy more meaningful to them. In his remark the Director - General of Mandate office Engineer Musa Yeketi explained that party members in all the polling units in the area would enjoy the Ramadan package of Senator Bukola Saraki. The Chairman of Asa Local Government Area Alh. Saka Obalana enumerated the achievements of his council within a short time in office and disclosed that his council would soon embark on the construction of boreholes to meet the water need of his people. Earlier, the Chairman of APC in Asa LGA Alh. Folorunsho Busari had praised Senator Bukola Saraki, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Barr. Razak Atunwa and other political office holders in the area for their commitment towards improving the wellbeing of the people of Asa Local Government Area. Items distributed included rice,sugar and milk in which the Speaker personally donated 366 bags of rice and #1.54 million to members of the APC in the Area.
