This was exactly my experience. Six months ago I bailed on my cable subscription, finally fed up with paying $ 100 a month for the six or so channels I occasionally watched. Since, I discovered Acorn TV on YouTube, a channel devoted to Brit television (mainly mysteries like Inspector Morse, George Gently, Cracker, etc.) which costs $ 4.99 per month; and Ive already gotten my moneys worth with scores of hours of viewing pleasure. I miss the (limited) access to NFL games but its a small price to pay, as opposed to my monthly Charter bills. After Ive exhausted Acorn Ill investigate the other streaming alternatives.
