Antoine Maillard had one point to lead Ontario Avalanche to a 5-2 victory over Phoenix Knights. Ontario Avalanche stifled Phoenix Knights power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ontario Avalanche forced Phoenix Knights goalie Luke Stripp to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots. Ontario Avalanche also got points from Michael Thomas, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Marc Janisch, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Ontario Avalanche also had goals scored by Nick Anderson and Coleton Dawson, who each put in one. In addition, Ontario Avalanche received assists from Andrew Guzman, who had one and Jackson Giammona, Adam Plonski, and Jonathan Stuxberg, who each chipped in two. Phoenix Knights could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Phoenix Knights was helped by Braden Cooper, who registered one goal. Cooper scored 8:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Phoenix Knights. Brennan Johnsson assisted on the tally. William Wallin also scored for Phoenix Knights. More assists for Phoenix Knights came via Chase Gillaspie, who had one. Daniel Cepila made 22 saves for Ontario Avalanche on 24 shots. Ontario Avalanche incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stripp recorded 48 saves for Phoenix Knights. Phoenix Knights registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
