Aaaaaaaaand this is what I was afraid of...they hound the guy at the top ( who I expect relied on reports from the people in charge of individual facilities ) until he resigned and now they act like its all better.. something was done...fault was found...someone was punished... and now....they are all moving along. Do people really not understand the concept of bad press is better than no press...that as long as something is still news as long as people are up in arms about it something will be done.. finger pointing and placing blame does NOT fix problems but it does pacify enough folks that the problem can be swept back under the rug. The problem did not originate with Shinseki, it probably wasnt known by Shinseki and the *secret list* aspect was not THE problem at all. It was a SYMPTOM of deep, dark, underlying flaws in the system that may now never be investigated or really fixed. Grats all you putzs (EVERY SINGLE TUNNEL VISIONED MICRO FOCUSED YAHOO WHO JUMPED ON THE KNEE-JERK REACTION AND SCREAMED FOR SHINSEKI TO RESIGN INSTEAD OF DEMANDING A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION - caps for emphasis) for screwing up a chance to do something really worthwhile for our veterans. You people....GAH. /fume /disgust
