About 25 years ago, I lost nearly all contact with popular culture. Today on my Facebook feed appeared four unsolicited photos of celebrities with the number of likes they have received on their Facebook pages. I have actually heard of three of them -- an actress/singer, a singer, and Nelson Mandela, each of whom has several million likes. But the fourth one is some guy named Jason Statham who has almost 34 million likes, which is probably more than Jesus Christ himself has (though I admit I havent checked Jesus page). I confess that I have never heard of Jason Statham and have no idea who he is. Am I therefore liable for fine or imprisonment under the Popular Culture Act? Of course, I could easily Google Statham to find out about him, but at this point I am afraid that this information might make my head explode.
