About 70 billion animals are slaughtered every year for food and an equal number are enslaved, subjugated, objectified and are being tormented, traumatized and tortured in slaughter houses. Tomorrow they will be brutally murdered with blunt knives and bullets that smash through their skills. ~Vicious cycle of exploitation and suffering, ~Abuse of resources (Food grains, water, land), ~Polluting Planet and Environment, ~ Building Bodies from Broken hearts and torn families, ~Satiating taste buds from desperate cries and helpless moans, ~Making a temple like body a graveyard of dead animals and still praying for peace in the world - Is that all necessary for a healthy and happy Life ? Dont we have better, cruelty-free, environment-friendly options for just a meal, easily forgotten? Arent we eating to live and not living to eat? Arent we, the humans, supposed to Practice kindness and compassion and show mercy to someone below us who cant speak for and defend themselves? Think about it- Peace starts right from ones own dinner plate and reforms actually begin in kitchen and not Parliament! Love animals- This world is their home too! Eat Grains and not Brains! Eat Leaf and not Beef! Eat Beans and not Beings! Know who died for your food, connect whats right before you to what your mind is detached from, realize where did your food come from and understand that- Every time you sit down to eat, you can make this world a better place, for everyone! ||Sham no astu dwipade sham chatushpade||- May all bipeds and quadrupeds be happy!
