About the likelihood of people accepting government implants: After posting parodies and what-if stories about implanting little RFID chips, some people seemed intellectually offended. After all, they noted, those events “didn’t actually happen”, SO THEY COULDN’T HAPPEN. While I may not be a visionary, by comparison to many, I almost qualify. May I suggest, for the benefit of your friends who are typically myopic Americans, that you consider the following: What if the government, instead of offering millions of “free” cell phones with “free” service, were to offer a much BETTER deal. They could offer “free” implanted devices that are combination phones, ipods, computers and gps systems with other features. With the use of ports, beneficiaries can load, listen to and share thousands of their favorite tunes. They can give voice commands to operate their phone features, and GPS devices. They can find restaurants, current “sales”, and a plethora of other conveniences. With attachments and connections to the ports, users can play their favorite games, watch TV programs or load and watch movies. All “free”, of course. Naturally, they would assure you, it is for “Safety” and “Security” purposes, you can monitor you children’s whereabouts and even be contacted if they need help anywhere they are, including car breakdowns and other emergencies. YOU, yourself, will be so much more secure, too. Who in the world would believe that Americans (who believe themselves to be well informed, and savvy) would EVER fall for this ploy to monitor people and catch non-Sheeple dissenters? BUT…Have you noticed how many people are virtually addicted to their music, smart phones, etc. , a fact supported by their lament, when their smart phones break, My LIFE is in there!” ? People are already selling their souls for “security”, and from pre-teens through those in their 30s (and beyond) are rarely found far from their electronic devices. Some can’t stop using them even when walking, driving, or otherwise being awake. Even if the government actually told them it was going to monitor them, as long as they said it was for “safety”, and “security”, the Sheeple would still eagerly stand in long lines for their “free” implantation!! And, there are those who make it sound like an illogical, leap of faith to believe that there are those who would accept a tiny little implant?? I should be able to rest my case.
