Above all els, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Poverbs 4:23 Shalom on this once again glorious new day in which we can celebrate the gift of life. Today we are going to take a closer look at the heart of man and that which flows from it. Let us explore the Word Heart what does it mean to have a heart. The human heart is a very vital organ. An important part of the livelihood of the entire body. Without it we will be.....well heartless, without it we will be.....dead. So when the Father says that you must seek me wholeheartedly, He is saying seek me with your whole life, with all of your heart...every aspect of your being, every impulse, every thought, every intent, every action, every word. “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. (1 Chronicles 28:9 NIV) Our actions can and usually speaks of one thing but our intent speaks of another. We can do all the right things, say all the right things, hope all the right things, believe in right things and still MISS THE BOAT!!! How is that possible - well because of the purity and intent of our heart. There is One who sees the intent of every heart, Abba Father, our Daddy who knows the intent of the heart of His children. “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:10 NIV) Here are some reasons why we refuse to take a closer look at our own hearts intent: Fear - of what we might find, wrong motives Hurt - deep seated hurt and pain caused by others Guilt - past sins we never repented of or dealt with. Anger - towards others, resentment or un-forgiveness. Stubbornness - hardened hearts due to our love of sin. But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” (Romans 2:5-6 NIV) Abba Father, Forgive me the wrong motives of my hearts intent. Restore your perfect will and a righteous heart within me. In the Name of Yshua the Messiah. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Romans 2:13 NIV)
