The attendance of the Abra youth in this training was initiated by Police Chief Superintendent Benjamin B. Magalong, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR), who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the opening. This was brought by the observation of the police official in his several visits in Abra particularly during the national election wherein the youth have not shown any active participation in the past election which is very crucial in improving the political atmosphere in Abra. The 2-day leadership training can help the Abra youth participant in organizing and propelling the youth in Abra to spearhead the peace initiative started by the PRO-COR to sustain the gain and promote non-violence political exercise. Make them visible and let their voice be heard considering that they represent almost ¼ of our population which make a big impact in bringing peace and prosperity in the province. Magalong on his message encourage the youth to lead the way in implementing the “Matuwid na daan” of our President, make use of their talent and influence to bring change towards progress as the future of our nation rest on them.###
