Absentee ballots are out and the election is less than two weeks hence. I humbly ask for your vote - I am #3 on the ballot. When voting, there are at least four qualities in a candidate to look for: 1) Experience - I have the City Hall experience by serving as one of your Planning Commissioners. In that capacity, I voted for sensible and balanced economic development that will bring much needed revenue to the City. Check my voting record - 200,000 square feet of retail, two hotels with a combined 350+ rooms, sensible rezoning, etc. 2) Endorsements - Endorsements mean something. They mean that the candidate you choose is reflective and will uphold the values that you share with respected community organizations and leaders. My endorsements include the HB Chamber of Commerce PAC, OC Republican Party, Lincoln Club, OC Tax PAC, OC Register, Freedom from Taxes PAC, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Assemblyman Travis Allen, former Assemblyman and HB Mayor Jim Silva, HB Mayor Matthew Harper, Former HB Mayors Peter Green, Cathy Green, Don MacAllister and current HB City Councilman Joe Carchio among many, many others. Do these leaders and organizations uphold the same values that you do? I will too. You, the taxpayer, are the Citys most valued customers and I will treat you as such. 3) Expertise - Many candidates talk about economic development - I am doing it in my professional life. I know how to retain and attract business and have been successful doing so for 25 years. 4) Fiscal conservatism - Having owned a successful business, I know what it takes to establish a budget and stay within its constraints. When we needed to spend more, we won new business and new revenue to pay for it while at the same time retiring debt. My campaign is being run the same way - all of my expenditures are fully funded. New expenditures are planned but will not be executed until funding is in place. You will not see appeals from me for money to pay for things Ive already committed to. Your vote counts and I would like to very much be one of your next City Councilmembers. You will be represented with honesty, dignity, openness and fairness.
