Absurd. Im gonna shoot you! Trained in hand to hand combat, equipped with a Taser, pepper spray, and a nightstick, yet he immediately reaches for his gun. All because he was nervous. Did he even have a reason to pull him over? What reasonable suspicion? What probable cause? Because he was moving around a lot? Killer cops must be held accountable for their actions. If anybody who was not an officer shot somebody because they were nervous, it would be life in prison. How long are WE THE PEOPLE going to let this continue? How many lives will be lost because an officer feared for his life? How many deaths like Eric Garner? Kelly Thomas? Ethan Saylor? How long will following proper protocol be an excuse to justify murder? People need to understand one thing when it comes to officer involved shootings: the training these men and women recieve is the underlying problem. It is not just a few bad apples in the orchard. They are trained to trust nobody. They are trained to consider every person a criminal or a possible threat. They are trained to use force instead of reason. They are trained to escalate situations in order to generate arrests, therefore generating revenue. Think about it. Nobody SHOULD BE above the law. Not a cop, not a civilian, not a criminal. Nobody. However, when a law is unjust or unconstitutional, one should feel a moral obligation to disobey that law. We will never be a free country as long as we ignore the tyranny. We will never have liberty as long as the rich rule over us. We will always be victims of the system as long as the system protects itself and its enforcers. It is time for change people. It is time to get your arms ready. It is time to start FIGHTING back.
