Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has sent his condolences to the family of the late Ijaw National Congress (INC) , leader Tari Sekibo. Sekibo died in Yenagoa on Monday in what is believed to be heart-related complications. “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has received with much sadness, news of the sudden passing away of the highly-respected president of the (INC), Tari Sekibo,” Presidential Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Reuben Abati stated. Abati added that the President joins them in mourning the former senator who served with distinction in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly between 1979 and 1983, doing his best, to defend the interests of his people while always upholding the unity and territorial integrity of Nigeria. “President Jonathan believes that Sekibo, who brought immense sagacity, maturity and years of political experience to his leadership of the INC following his election as its president last May, will be greatly missed by the Ijaw and all lovers of peaceful co- existence and national unity,” Abati stated.
