According to Roger Moore,when he was approached to replace sean connery,as James Bond,the producers asked him to cut his hair short and reduce his weight,Roger,sensing the inconveniences he had to go through to fit into the physical specification and characteristics of James Bond,.. said to them,..why dont you just look for an actor who already wears a short hair cut and is slim,.but they still insisted,no doubt they were attracted to Moores sterling acting qualities and proffesionalism,and had to go the extra mile to get him,..Roger Moore,now in hs 80s,.eventually did seven Bond Movies,which were all successful,.and he remains my favourite James Bond character of all time.
