The position is an essential part of the monthly closing, internal reporting process and the quarterly and annual SEC reporting processes. The role will also interface with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Chief Accounting Officer, the Chief Financial Officer and assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports distributed to senior management and the Board of Directors.The successful candidate will be a team player and able to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. He / She must have strong systems/spreadsheet skills, be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, accountability, interpersonal relations, flexibility and maturity. She/he will routinely handle highly confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows and footnotes in accordance with US GAAPPrepare monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination entries, including the impact of changes in foreign currency exchange ratesManage the chart of accounts in the general ledgerAssist with financial analysis and lead monthly internal reporting processAssist with completing the quarterly reviews and annual external auditsAssist in preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC reportsAssist in the XBRL review and maintenanceAssist in the annual budgeting processAssist with other duties and projects - process enhancements, SOX documentation and testing, acquisitions and other projects as required.QualificationsBachelor degree in AccountingMinimum of two years of public accounting experienceCPA is preferable, or significant progress towards certification Prior SEC experience a plus but not requiredStrong functional knowledge of MS ExcelExperience with Sage 500 and/or FRx & Vena report writers a plus;Ability to work in fast paced environment.
