Achieve Families, Looking for some fun summer events? The Leslie Science and Nature Center has a few activities coming up for your family to enjoy! Check it out: Monarch Butterfly Conservation Kickoff June 21 | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. | All ages | $10/individual, $38/family Be there at the beginning as we prepare for raising gorgeous Monarch caterpillars here at LSNC. This is the first step towards our Monarch Butterfly Migration Festival in September where we will tag and release butterflies ready for their journey south. Help us develop our “Monarch Waystation” and learn how to create your own at home. We will get you started with your own milkweed plant or seeds! Games and activities will teach us about their interesting life cycle and what we can do to help them throughout their sometimes hazardous lives in the wild. Register for this event online, call 734-997-1553, or pay at the door. Fireside Fun - A Good Old Fashioned Campfire Circle June 22 | 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. | All ages | Free! There’s nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. One Sunday a month, we’ll be stoking the fires here at LSNC. Bring your family, camp chairs, and smores fixings. We’ll provide a blazing outdoor campfire and plenty of marshmallows. This program is generously supported by Bivouac - thank you!
