Across the board of all the religious and cultural ideologies claiming ownership, celebrating and competing around this time for relevance and significance while greed, materialism, self-righteousness and narcissism fuels and feeds the economic beast that exploits them all, there is the foundation and common reason for the season behind them all, which is the Winter Solstice, an ancient astronomical celebration historically expressed in many ways and cultures to many gods, through many objects of reverence and worship..
