Actress Deepika Padukone was in Hyderabad to promote her next Bollywood film Finding Fanny on Tuesday evening. The actress attended a press conference at a star hotel along with her co-star Arjun Kapoor and director Homi Adajania. The actress expressed interest in acting in a Telugu film sometime soon. I have been offered roles in Telugu films in the past but could not take them up as I did not have the time. But i would love to work in a Telugu film sometime, she said. When asked to name her favourite Tollywood star the actress paused for a while before saying,Mahesh Babu, as the crowd burst out laughing. To which Deepika asked, why are you all laughing? When asked if she was prompted by the director to name Mahesh she retorted back saying, Do you think I dont know Mahesh Babu? We are represented by the same agency by the way. Looks like the list of Bollywood actors wanting to work with Mahesh Babu just keeps swelling by the day. Little surprise then that her statement about liking Mahesh babu has been making headlines in Tollywood circles.
