Actually a good idea. A good approach. I just read a book called The Stranger, which incidentally exhibits a character who lives quite mindfully: just being aware to the experiences in life, but turning off the constant roller-coaster narrative in our minds of expectations, judgements, past and future reckonings--all of which make us forget what it means to just be alive and present in the moment. Another book I just finished was Journey To Ixtlan, and the shaman Don Juan explains that to live like a hunter or warrior means you live intentionally, being impeccable in your actions as he describes it; because when it is a matter of life and death you take accountability for your actions and you dont have the time to worry about any judgement of rotten luck or act like its someone elses fault for everything. You wouldnt hold a grudge against a tree branch if you tripped over it along the hunt. Its just nature. Its just life.
