Adam Willsmore you are officially appointed as the resident Welcoming Sensei at KarateUni !! Thank you! :-) Really grateful for your support. One of the reasons for setting this group up is to allow us to share more on knowledge, experience and research materials, which wasnt possible in other groups, e.g Sensei Enoeda remembrance groups etc (and rightly so) because they were setup for a different purpose. From my post and pleasant exchange with you in that group recently on Shigeru Egamis, I felt the need to have a separate group for discussing such research and it wouldnt be appropriate to hijack that group for that kind of discussion. I feel that you understood this, hence your enthusiastic participation! I truly grateful. :-) Another inspiration is Shihan Kousaku Yokota, who has written two books, Shotokan Myths and Shotokan Mysteries - his blogs also inspired me and we have the same journey experience ( we Karatekas all do I think!) of being totally disillusioned with karate and sought other paths, only to comeback to Karate / Shotokan after being inspired by Asai Senseis blend of Karate. I will be reviewing Yokota Senseis books soon - I am having two personally autographed copies from Sensei with my name is Japanese / Kanji!. Yokota Sensei, may recommend anyone to get in touch with you for an autographed copy too?! Oss..
