Adam wanted to spend time with his Mom, so I told him Id run the lights for him for the 5B shows at iO. Traffic was bad once I was East of Damen, so I took my typical alternative route. As I turn North from Fletcher on to Racine, theres a guy who just blocking the street. Hes just sitting there allowing traffic to back up behind him, but I pull on to Racine, and after a few cars make a right on to Belmont, I get in the right lane so that I can pass this guy on the green. When the light turns, hes no longer mr slow/stop, so I let him ahead of me. As soon as I get behind him he slams on his breaks. OK, Ive dealt with these kind of assholes before. Ill just let him go. But he wont go. He inches forward and slams on his breaks again, He wants me to tail-end him. I get out of the van. He pulls away. I get in the van. He stops. He gets out. I drive around him while hes standing outside his car. He gets back in and floors it so hes in front of me. I cant remember how I got in front of him again, he must have let me. Now he was following me, and I tried to lose him by going down East on School. I try again by going North on Seminary, then I turn East on Newport. At the red light at Clark he starts bumping into me. When I see him (clear as a bell, 50s green sweater, glasses, about 6) get out to write my plate down, the light turns green, and I go down Sheffield. He doesnt follow. Had he done Idve gone to the Police station on Addison. But I parked behind iO and called 911. I didnt get his plate (dammit), but the car was an old (80s), tan, & American made one. I was really freaked out. Telling Nathan when I got inside helped. But now Im paranoid this drunk monster is out to get me. Life in the big city. Yeah.
