Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma is the clinical name of this cancer and it can appear in any secretory gland in the body. The most common sites are in the mouth or throat but other glands can be affected. On November 19th I was diagnosed with this very rare cancer which was found in my Lacrimal Gland (found above the eye and responsible for producing tears). I have had surgery to remove the tumor, lacrimal gland and part of my orbital bone; cancer was found in all three. As I move forward in making decisions about treatment I ask for your prayers, love, and positive vibes for and toward my family and I. Please know that I live a life of love and gratitude. I have moments of sadness, but my heart is at peace. Onward and forward, in love, I go.
