Advance notice: fall book sale The Friends of the Greensboro Public Library will hold their fall book sale on October 3rd through the 6th at the Central Library. Features bestsellers in fiction and non-fiction along with books for children and youth. Most hardbacks are $2.00 and most paperbacks 50 cents. Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library, a diverse nonprofit organization whose purpose is to support the community’s cultural and literary needs. The Friends support children and youth programs, the annual Summer Reading program and special projects such as One City, One Book, Poetry GSO and more. The Friends will also gratefully accept donations of books at the Booklovers’ Shop at the Central Library and at local branches. Fall Book Sale schedule: —Thursday, October 3rd 5:30 pm – 8:00 p.m. (Friends Member Preview & Reception) —Friday, October 4th 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. —Saturday, October 5th 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m —Sunday, October 6th 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (includes Bag Sale)
