Advance notice that in January I will have to put my prices up. Each portrait takes me around 30 hours of drawing time, which doesnt even include time taken for the peripherals like consultations, photographing or helping to choose photos, printing etc - all which amount to many more hours, per portrait. On that basis, I am currently working for under £3 an hour. I love the work, but it isnt sustainable. I have therefore decided to put up the prices by around 30%. In the future if I want to make a living from doing this, it will have to go up exponentially more than that, but for now I want to keep the prices as low as I can. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BOOKED A COMMISSIONED PORTRAIT WITH ME, THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOU AS YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE OLD RATE. If you want to take advantage of my current incredibly low prices, you can do so by booking a commissioned portrait with me between now and January 10th, and you will get charged the old rate. :-)
