Adventure in the country.......my driver, John and I headed in the direction advised in search of Robert Dean Primary to pay school fees for 1 child, Lazarus Tembo. There are no road signs so we asked at least 25 people for directions! The Zambian way is to point! Families in this area work on farms, avoiding rent in compounds as landowner has minimal housing for them. Being the rainy season, we had puddles (more like lakes) to drive thru as you can see - serious prayers that wed get to other side and......thankful we topped off the fuel prior to this adventure! We arrived at the run down government school after nearly 2 hours, enrolled the child and paid his fees of 500 kwacha (app $100) which was the least of any school Id paid. The Headmaster shared that very few families could even manage to pay that much. So heartbreaking to fathom such circumstances......upon arrival, we found the headmaster praying and it waa evident he was reading his Bible. Thankful he leans on God !!! On our ride home, we witnessed the man peddling puppies in busy traffic (another first!) After dinner, the gorgeous sunset wrapped up a very special day. God is truly amazing.
