Firefighters have stopped the spread of the bushfire in the 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL area and fire activity has subsided. The bushfire is not yet under control. You are no longer under any threat. Containment lines are in place and further works will be carried out to protect the township of Stawell. The following roads are closed: Bullochy Mary Road Gunawarra Road Bunjils Cave Road between Pomonal Road/Ganawarra Road and Glue Pot Road Browns Lane Horwood Road west of Carlsens Road Monaghan Road west of Carlsens Road A Community Meeting will be held today at 10am atthe Pomonal Community Hall. A Recovery Centre in Stawell at Grampians Community Health, 8 PatrickStreet is open from 9am to 5pm. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads.
