Advice Issued For: Deddick Valley, Gelantipy, Butchers Ridge, Wulgulmerang East Fire Origin: 20 NW GOONGERAH Incident Name: GOONGERAH-DEDDICK TRAIL Issued: 19/01/14 3:02 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Gelantipy, Butchers Ridge, Wulgulmerang East and Deddick Valley. There is a large bushfire near Deddick Trail and two smaller bushfires burning remotely in the Snowy River National Park. All three bushfires are not yet under control. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. Bonang Road is closed. Road access is permitted for locals and emergency vehicles only. Snowy River National Park including Yalmy Road is closed. The next update is expected by 20/01/14 3:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via depi.vic.gov.au. Tune to ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV. Call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
