Advice Issued For: Mona Park, Woohlpooer, Mooralla, Victoria Point Fire Origin: 18KM NE CAVENDISH Incident Name: GRAMPIANS - GEERAK TRACK SOUTH Issued: 17/01/14 4:28 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Mona Park, Woohlpooer, Mooralla, Victoria Point. Firefighters are are working on a small fire in the Grampians National Park in the Geerak Track South area which is approximately 18KM NE CAVENDISH. This fire is not yet under control. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. Stay clear of the area as pending weather events could escalate fire activities. Road Closures: McCutcheons Road. Victoria Valley road is closed between the intersections of the Grampians Tourist Road and Victoria Point Road. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
