Advice wanted-Kristen asks...I have recently become the director of the center I have worked at for 10 years. It happened suddenly. I was on maternity leave when the former director was dismissed. I came back from leave and was offered the job. What I am finding out if that the former director bad mouthed me to staff and parents giving many people a negative impression of me. The owners of my center are telling me that getting staff to like me as much as the former director is my top priority. I am finding that because of this I dont make the changes I feel will better our program if certain staff members are not going to like it. How can I encourage a staff that has been told not to like me and how can I implement changes that are not favoriable to all the staff? If anyone has any good training ideas for myself or for a team that would be wonderful also. Thank you
