After 5 incredible years, Nightbox says goodbye to our comrade, James Q. (Shellbot) Shelly. James has chosen another path in life, and we support his decision completely. We will miss our brother-in-arms and dear friend. From the white-knuckle ride that was our first ever gig at Oxegen Festival in 2009, to our last show as a five-piece at Adelaide Hall in Toronto this past June, we shared some unforgettable times and great memories. We wish James all the best in his future endeavours. In the meantime, the four of us have been writing loads of brand new music and were extremely excited to share it with all of you at one of our many upcoming shows: Reading and Leeds Festivals, KOKO London and Electric Picnic in the UK & Ireland, as well as our North American Tour with Snowmine this autumn. We look forward to seeing you all soon! - Jacob, Andrew, Nick & James And a message from James Shelly: Its been a privilege to share a stage and a life with these lads for the last five years. Ive decided its time to tackle new life challenges, but Ill carry the lessons Ive learned and the bonds Ive formed through this experience with me always. Besides that, I will never forget the kindness, generosity, and support I received from old and new friends during my time with Nightbox. To anyone who ever bought a cd, came to a show, put us up for a night, or just generally went out of their way to show they cared, I offer my sincerest gratitude. I know big things are still ahead for Nightbox and I daresay you havent heard the last of James Q Shellbot! So let the band play on. All my love.
