After a hearing last week, a Pike County Common Pleas judge will decide if surveillance video -- showing the fatal shooting of one trooper and wounding of another at the state police station in Blooming Grove -- should be unsealed and made accessible to the public. The video was shown earlier this month at Eric Freins preliminary hearing, during which charges against him were sent to county court for trial. At District Attorney Ray Tonkins request, the video has been temporarily sealed, though it was made part of public record when shown at Freins preliminary hearing.
