After a string of performances where the senior team were unable to get the results required to summon a challenge to get off the bottom of the table the North Geelong Soccer Club and head coach Mario Jurjevic have parted ways. Mario came to the club with an ambitious plan and enthusiastic approach. The Committee, Players and other coaching staff thank him for his passion and professionalism and wish him all the success as we no doubt believe he will continue to pursue the coaching opportunities. In addition, Ivan Perkov who joined with Jurjevic has departed from the Under 21s position. The two coaches came together as a team and have indicated that they will depart as a team. Thank you also to Ivan who has done a wonderful job instilling confidence and structure to a young side. We have an exciting opportunity ahead of us now, with some squad members adding experience and depth to the team. Taking the reigns for the head job this weekend is former coach Ante Skoko with the assistance of his brother Josip and Roger Savi. The club will finalise details about who will take charge ongoing and the entire coaching line up early next week as we wrap up negotiations. Regards Committee
