After about five decades of oil bonanza for Nigeria, there has no alternative sources of revenue evolved from oil money for Nig. Still running a very dangerous oil-driven monolithic primitive economy! No Nigerian government past or present has been able to think that a 4 litres of any other agricultural produce is more expensive than 4 litres of fuel! Just compare the cost of 4L of palm or groundnut oil with 4L of fuel for instance! The successive governments are busy running a consumptive economy marred with malignant looting syndrome! Not even the basic needs of our citizens are provided by these guys who ruled or still ruling the country! Always unsaturated political soap box of I will provide free education, fee health, steady power supply, good roads and transportation system, security etc.usually every 4years pre-elections! Yet NOT EVEN ONE of these for all these years have come to pass! 24hrs delay in sharing federation account money sends shivers down the spines of our federating states and even a minor short fall in the global oil prices spells doom for the essence of human existence in Nig! The present government is already packaging austerity measures to be superimposed on anguished Nigerians as a result of imminent global oil prices tsunami! What a country! After 54years of terrible leadership I do believe now that the course to prosperous Nigeria must certainly be championed by Nigerians and almost not by our emerging and re-emerging looters masquerading as our rulers! We must take our destiny into our hands much sooner than later! If at this digital age our leaders with all the degrees are still thinking that ordinary stealing is not corruption, then we are still far from our dream destination! No time better than now should Nigerians ACT DECISIVELY AND FAST IF NOT FOR THE BENEFITS OF OUR PRESENT GENERATION,AT LEAST FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS!
