After losing at another round of Riverside Roulette this morning I am going to do one of my pet peeves and make a list post. This is for all the restaurant/bar staff and owners. 1) I order water because I cant do caffeine or sugar or diet drinks not because I am cheap, if you keep my glass full you will get a better tip. 2) When my meal comes out I expect it to be what I ordered not what the chief/cook felt like making. 3) If your menus have photos I expect my meal to look at least similar to the photo. 4) If you bring me the wrong thing even if it was the kitchens fault I am going to tip less. If you catch it and tell me my meal is being remade right and will be a few extra minutes it wont change your tip. 5) If the restaurant owner is too cheap to put jelly on the table I do expect you to bring it when I order toast and not have to ask for it. 6) When I am a regular customer and I order the same meal four times, it would be nice if it came out of the kitchen the same way at least twice. (This is how Riverside Roulette originated.) 7) If you have some quaint oddball system for customers to order food and drinks you might want to make that clear to customers, not everyone is a regular. 8) If I ask for extra butter when I place my order could you bring that with the order and not have to run back to get it and bring it out five minutes later, this cost you part of your tip.
