After many years of laboratory and preclinical research in appropriate models of disease, Dr. Bartholomew Fox, of The Wellcome Trust Centre For Human Genetics at Oxford, has finally identified a Tory gene. The resulting incurable disease has previously proved unresponsive to any experimental treatments until the gene was identified. Now, phase 1 clinical trial of treatment for this severe neurodegenerative disorder is hoped to be launched as early as next year, with the hope that all affected patients can eventually be cleared of such symptoms as hoarding vast amounts of taxpayers money for purposes relating to their own personal fun, breaking into uncontrollable inane bouts of laughter at the plight of unfortunate victims of Tory benefit and job cuts, and refusing to eat any meal unless it costs more than £200.00 Dr. Fox has said that the prognosis for successful therapy for the genetic disorder is positive and encouraging.
