After missing for three months, Jackson (known as Rustin at the shelter) was reunited with his family today!! :) His story is why we always tell people to visit their local shelter if you are missing a dog (and take pictures to show shelter staff)! Jacksons family reported missing their Chow/Pit Bull mix at the beginning of September. Jackson did not arrive at the shelter until Oct. 24th and was picked up by animal control miles from his home. A lot of times an owners description of their dog does not match what shelter staff sees or thinks the dog is a mix of. Luckily Jacksons family saw his picture in our adoptable dogs album and came to make sure it was him. Definitely a happy ending for this family and Jackson!
