After much prayer, consultation and thought, I will not be pursuing a recount. Even though money was pledged to do so, to me it would be money that could be used in better places. I support Thyra Stevensons decision to proceed with her recount, I would need twice the number of votes than she needs. The State at the last minute informed us that this was not two for one if they were to be recounted it would be twice the money. This did have an impact on the decision. I talked with Dr.Rusche a few minutes ago, wished him the absolute best, we both shared a laugh at how grueling the election was on all of us. We will have a cup of coffee in a few days, I look forward to working with him and helping anyway I can to pushing substance abuse issues in the State of Idaho, this is a passion we both share. Like I said before this is not my last rodeo, Public service is a calling that I intend on pursuing. I learned so much, The experience has been wonderful. I thank everyone that was involved, financially, physically, mentally and spiritually. As a Tribune writer said to me, You just about took out the biggest Democrat in Idaho. That is a fact. Special thanks to my wife Carolyn for taking on the added duties at home with two aging parents, Clinton Daniels, Chip Damato, Eric Peterson, Chuck Christopher, The list goes on and on, I look forward to pushing forward.
