After passing out much earlier than midnight, I didnt post the winner! But everyone who guessed #4 will be entered into the drawing today for the signed copy of Slow Burn: Zero Day! Here are the facts, man: 1) I used to ride my bike around as a kid flipping off drivers. – This is TRUE! As a kid, I did ride around flipping drivers off. I didnt stop until two guys came after us...one guy was my baseball coach...sometimes random strangers arent so random! Interestingly, he said thats grown up stuff. Flipping people off is grown up stuff... 2) I was a member of the National Honor Society. – This is TRUE! Even though I was a juvenile delinquent, I managed to do well in school and keep my grades up. 3) My first run in with the police was in third grade. – Oh boy...this is TRUE. I was delivering papers for my brothers paper route, and I got distracted by a pond/pool/fountain at an apartment complex. It was surrounded by rocks, and I was climbing on the rocks...while doing this, I found a box of cigarettes and a hypodermic needle, and put them in my pocket and continued to climb. Somehow, a policeman got involved...the apartment complex thought I was stealing the coins from the fountain. I was detained by the police, and they made me dump my pockets. They eventually let me go with a stern warning! 4) I was a volunteer teacher in Uganda last summer. – This is the FALSE answer. My son, Ethan Adair, spent a semester abroad in Uganda last year teaching street kids English. It opened his eyes to some pretty terrible things going on in Africa, but Im very proud that he took this opportunity. Thats it! Stay tuned for another contest next week with even wackier questions!
