After speaking to a lot of anglers down the lake we have decided to do something about the weed. The best option we have is to cut/drag it out as weed killer is just not an option nowadays. We are in the process of having a rake made and ordering a winch to be able to retrieve the rake along with the weed it gathers up. We are very busy at the minute with the mail order side of the business, so we are looking for a 2 lads who are either out of work or have holidays to burn to help with this work down the lake. This is not a paid job but anyone interested will get to fish every night after the working day and we will agree to a number of free sessions after the work is completed. It will require a bit of hard graft as once the winch has retrieved the weed it will need to be dragged out of the margins. Hard to estimate but at least a couple of weeks to get it all done.
