After the dust has settled, on behalf of Island Touch Dance Academy, WerkMKE and the Midwest Latin Dance Festival I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported our Festival this past weekend, the workshops were packed every hour both days, the shows were incredible and the music for the social dancing was amazing!!! Shout out to the DJs that kept the people dancing all night long, DJ Lopez Mambo Tribe and DJ Jo-Z. To my brotha DJ El Tiguere Del Mambo whos sets had live music from percussionist Andre Bovell and David Jr Gonzalez while he was spinning, WOW is all i have to say, you guys took the social to the next level!!! Ataca y Alemana for running a flawless artistic portion to our program and putting together some killer shows;) To all our sponsors we thank you immensely, and also to all my volunteers there were so many to name I just want to say thank you all for your support. Some special recognition to some special volunteers, Ivette Gardana Alvarado, Beatrice Mojica, Nerei Garcia de Tirado, Elis Ramos-Garcia, Dennis Allan Alvarado Lopez, Antonio Webb, Armando Narvaez Beny Pérez-Reyes José Aguilar, Brian Gomez and Jeanette Medina... People didnt see what these individuals did behind the scenes, but let me tell you had it not been for them I might have gone out and played in traffic with a blindfold on. lol, To our artist that came and supported from outside of the Midwest, Zafire DanceProject, Matthew Rivera & Krystal Nieves, & Amy Figueiras Dominguez your workshops and shows were top notch and to that I say thank you!!! Thank you every one who helped double the size of our event from last year, lets triple it next year!!!
