After the leaks of EXO’s dance practice video and MP3 song for upcoming single titled “Overdose”, SM Entertainment has taken an immediate action by blocking them on various social media sites. A number of the song’s videos and MP3 files that have been illegally uploaded on YouTube, Soundcloud and Dailymotion have been officially blocked. The agency has also immediately investigated the matter to find who have been spreading the video; they also made an announcement that the video is not the complete version of the original video. “The video was taken for MBC’s “Music Core” and it is also not the full version of the original video,” SM’s representative said. They also confirmed the video and MP3 leaks are a cyber crime that has disadvantaged many parties. “This is an illegal act, we deeply against illegal spread of copyright works,” SM announced. The spread of the band’s video and MP3 file is the third time after a similar thing happened to their album, “XOXO, Kiss & Hug” and repackaged album, “Growl”. EXO are scheduled to release “Overdose” music video on April 15 after their showcase event through Samsung Music.
