After watching shows with my son, Im in awe of the numerous shows available for kids these days. My opinions range wildly however from this isnt bad, to OMG this is a show? 1. Thomas the train is possibly the dumbest show on TV. Even a sleeping child will leave the room when this show comes on. DECISION Hate this show. 2. Is it just me or does Caillou have cancer? Why is he the only bald one on the show? I feel sorry for him if he has cancer, I kind of like him, but he is a a bit of a wuss. DECISION: On the fence. 3. Why does Sid the science kids parents have no jobs? Are they on welfare? Did they win the lottery? How many levels are in that house? Will we ever know? Like the show though. DECISION: Lets watch it. 4. The good night show on Sprout is full of songs and colors for kids. A good message and promotes good behavior. DECISION: good tv. 5. Tellatubbies- DECISION- SHOOT ME IN THE HEAD! 6. Paw patrol is a cartoon that effectively mixes pound puppies with GoGo Gadget backpacks full of ways to help people. Like little super heroes they come to the rescue. Some problems are that these talking dogs need to sometimes say stop freaking out kid, its not that big of an issue. In other words, this show is often much ado about nothing, but its fun and promotes teamwork so Im in. DECISION-watch it. 7. Fresh Beat Band - a show about making music about everyday problems with loads of dancing and conflict resolution. Do the songs get stuck in your head? YES! Am I ok with that? YES! DECISION - Watched daily! Ok to be fair, most of the others suck so they dont warrant a review. But really try to limit the television he watches anyway. Good luck everyone with your kids tv choices and remember, most of them suck!
