After work this evening I was at self check out finishing up and an elderly man with 2 dozen roses 1 pink 1 red an anniversary card and a box of chocolates walked up to cashier at self checkout (walmart was packed) and asked if she would check him out, she refused said he had to use self check out after expressing he didnt know how to do self check out she basically ignored him, he started walking back towards the end of the line, I said Sir, I will help you he said your willing to help and dont work here? I checked out and bagged his FOUR items for him. After getting his receipt he looks at me and says I have a question, you saw those 2 bouquets I just purchased, Which of the 2 do you think is the prettiest? Me thinking he wasnt sure on which one his wife would prefer I gave my honest opinion. I said Honestly I would pick pink since that is my favorite color this gentleman grabbed me up in a hug and handed me the bouquet of pink roses!!!!! I was a bit shocked and teary eyed I told him I could not accept I just wanted to help him out. He than turned to everyone around have me another hug and said to everyone See there still are decent people in this world, people like this young lady still give me hope by than I literally had tears running down my face, he walked away and as he passed that cashier he said She (pointing at me) should have your job!! I didnt get his name nor the chance to wish him a happy anniversary. But that man MADE MY DAY!!!! If any of you know him Id love to get his name and thank him and also wish him and his wife a very happy blessed anniversary,,... I love paying it forward
