Again, way behind (but when I start something I like to finish it!!). I am thankful for ... Day 16: being reunited with other entertainment industry professionals (those who actually have the necessary experience to warrant their respective positions) who strive for excellence, even when budget and resources may not support those efforts ( Raoul Germain). Day 17: waking up to the beautiful sunshine in LA. Day 18: choosing a production path along which I learned both creative AND production logistics. Day 19: my sweet mom, Debbie Hicks Vance, who listens to me talk about stupid crap on my drive home from work each night. Day 20: my dad, who impressed upon me the importance of proper grammar and punctuation. Day 21: my siblings Whitney Vance Jared Robert VanceTaylor Vance who make me proud. Day 22: my extended family Donald Richard Vance, Stephanie Vance, Ron Hicks, and Haley Miller, who I wish I could visit with more often. Day 23: having a car. especially when its raining. Day 24: my health. I am very, very lucky in that regard. Day 25: for being raised in a place that values family and children, in a WAY that now enables me to understand family dynamics and what it takes to be a good parent, and for being aware of things outside of the tiny, overly-celebrated, selfish yuppy world in which I currently live ... knowledge that certain people in a particular work circle seem not to have. Day 26: not choosing a career in advertising ... especially not one wherein I would call myself a producer, but really do not have the training or creative ability to produce any type of video ... even a 6 sec vine ... or non-video content, like a crayola drawing. Day 27: happy that most people will have stopped ready by now, so my previous passive aggressive statements go mostly unnoticed, but serve to help me let off some steam. And, that this will also likely go unnoticed: I love Olay (not Neutrogena), Act (not Listerine), Systane (not Visine), and Stevia not ... ok, you got me there, I do love Splenda.
