Agar Kal ki socha toh Aaj bura maan jayegi Nice Monday - TopicsExpress

Agar Kal ki socha toh Aaj bura maan jayegi Nice Monday afternoon. I and my friend are relishing cool bottles of sprite discussing how unfair the college administration is. There is a cute ding, a mild vibration and the incessant blinking that shoves the new whatsapp message right in the middle of our conversation. It’s a motivational quote that ended with the age old live in the present and don’t worry about the consequences. Being a idealist guy (the cute little lamb that thinks the world is all green pastures and warm sunshine), my friend’s face instantly lit up and he instantly declared that it was the most beautiful, inspiring and sensible measure for today’s individual. Yeah yeah... it was from his girlfriend so that was primarily why his eyes were so glazed. Live in present don’t worry about the consequences. Liberating but scary, soothing but hilarious. On the first glance it appears to be a really inviting thought, just like the apple was to snow white. But we all know what happened to her. An individual will have lesser chance of survival than the Schrödinger’s cat chilling in the box with a cigar and a peg of scotch. A really deadly paradox. A man is defined by his actions. It’s been the yardstick before and will be for the years to come. What you do has consequences. What you do in the present you are accountable for its repercussions in the future. Each step taken can either put you forth or shove you back. The world is too competitive in the face of such sayings which originated way back. It’s a dog eat dog world in which you have to get the bone, or rather earn it. We have taken birth to leave our initials imprinted on the face of earth. However, suddenly all those images of great people advising about how pleasures of body is immaterial and the only thing that matters is maan ki shanti comes floating to our mind. Is it really important to loose yourself in the race in hope for a better tomorrow? Tomorrow might be better. Might be, not sure. Too straight right? It is the reality. But wait. Totally forgot about the Schrödinger’s cat. The innocent little creature forced into the situation that may or may not be alive at the end of experiment. It can either do nothing, wait for the gas to release and maybe will itself to survive through the ether and emerge wounded and scathed but as a hero. A creature of substance. Rightful owner of his place in the Hall of Fame. But he has an equally tempting although not so inspiring option, enjoy the treat(we know it has been poisoned but the cat doesn’t) and be at peace even if the blissful state lasts only for a few moments. Does it really matter living through hardships for that moment of glory? You will be stepping over many individuals. Feel like the king of the world, eh? A king lives alone and dies alone. So don’t expect that after the back breaking efforts you put in for your better tomorrow you will be enjoying per se. You will be happy but will you be at peace? But hey.... happiness is absolute whilst peace is ambiguous. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery. Today is the only gift you have that’s why it’s called the present. The gift of today that you have will determine how the mystery of tomorrow unfolds. One of the billion or one in a billion it’s up to you to decide. #The_NITian_Vella #The_Progressive_NITian
